About Selene Chang
🙋🏻♀️ Hi! I'm Selene and I'm a multidisciplinary designer (+ language enthusiast) who has worked in Branding, Illustration, Instructional Design, Visual Design, and UI design! I am also a current NYU MA student at Steinhardt's Educational Communications & Technology (ECT) Learning Technology and Experience Design Program (LTXD) AND an Arc Ambassador for the 2024-2025 School of Browser. 🗽✨ My goal is to bring stories to life by creating unique characters and genuine experiences. My dream job would be to work in EdTech and/or foreign language acquisition through multidisciplinary design and pedagogical research. Otherwise, it's to open a studio with my creative friends to make the most innovative experiences possible to conceive! Along the way I've been able to do creative work, do some promotional and social media work with Super Hi, Figma, and the Browser Company, and of course explore ways to be creative through lots of YouTube tutorials.🎓 As a transfer, I recognize the value of education and have been involved in research intersecting my interests in language, technology, education, and design. Studying art for as long as I can remember, being able to explore various avenues traditionally and digitally has allowed me to value learning ➡️ a big reason why I want to stay in Education/EdTech. Despite not pursuing a creative bachelor's degree, that didn't stop me from my involvement at work and through connecting with UCLA's design communities. My interest in art and design has evolved over time, but it's been a constant interest from the 4-year-old cutting primary-colored shapes on paper.〰️ If I'm not pursuing my dreams, I'm probably watching TV, learning other languages, playing video games, or trying to find new resources or ways to sharpen my skills!
