Managing the team of commodity buyers for sourcing Electronic components like Actives, Passives, connectors, wire assemblies etc. and in mechanical, plastic molded parts, sheet metal components, pressed part, aluminium die castings, turned and machined parts, fasteners & packaging.• Identification of potential suppliers, evaluating and selecting as per the supplier qualification guideline, Capacity assessment and maintain effective supply chain for the plant’s material requirements. • Guiding the team to achieve functional KPI’s like Inventory Turn-over ratio, Purchase Price variance, Supplier Delivery Accuracy, Excess ageing Inventory, Lead Time reduction, Supplier performance score card, Days of Supply etc.• Lead the costing team in handling local & global RFQ’s for all Turnkey projects of various locations and submits the best costing for securing the projects.• Establish & implement procedures for Supplier selection, evaluation & approval, Supplier quality management, Supplier development & maintenance, procurement of materials.• Ensure supplier capacity based on the customer demand for all products.• Co-ordinate with the product line managers for identifying the development needs for new projects and meet the requirements. • Ensure compliance of company quality systems in the complete Sourcing & SQA functions.• Drive the purchase team to work with suppliers for contract price agreements in case of turn key projects to secure best profits levels. • Lead supplier relationship and develop long term agreements that accelerate operational targets including material productivity capacity / availability, sustainability and cash. • Propose & develop strategic partnership with identified category of vendors based on the type of the product and end customer requirements to meet the customer budget.

• Identification of supply source, evaluating and development of local & global suppliers, Capacity assessment and maintain effective supply chain for the plant’s mechanical parts requirements. Ensure word class performance by suppliers.• Work closely with the project line teams in the plant and support them in their sourcing needs. • Support the local SCM team in resolving the techno-commercial issues with commodity Suppliers.• Localisation of mechanical commodity parts to bring down the BOM costing and generate PPV (Purchase price variance) for better profitability.• Handling of Global RFQ’s for all Turnkey projects of various locations and submits the best costing for securing the projects.• Ensure compliance to the global contractual requirements like NDA, GPA, COC etc.• Develop & track metrics for mechanical commodity suppliers for world class performance in cost, quality, delivery and service. • Supporting other global locations to source & supply from local cost effective vendors. • Evaluating the customer AVL parts and propose alternative source of supply with costOptimisation and improved logistics time. • Propose & develop strategic partnership with identified category of vendors based on thetype of the product and end customer requirements to meet the customer budget. Achievements:• Secured 3 out of 5 project orders from Philips BOM costing submitted in the last 1 year. • Established local sources within Bangalore for LED Lighting parts to secure the continuos business from Philips India.• Handled the complete localization project of Philips Electronic HID Ballast and developed Plastic, Sheet metal and packaging parts within a record time of 6 weeks with 100% FTR achievement of all parts. • Developed alternate source for Philips GU10 gift box in Bangalore & achieved PPV.• Effectively supported 3 new product introduction for products like camera module, Remote control Room thermostat etc.
