Senior Manager – ManufacturingHeading manufacturing of Diamond jewelry. • Involvement from initial project of setting up new manufacturing facility from layout designing till factory commencing considering all aspects from machinery procurement, interior design, safety aspect and getting clearance from all statutory authorities.• Identifying & Recruitment of skilled labor force and training of new operators to reach the desired quality of finish to cater the requirement of B2C and B2B business.• Currently Heading manufacturing operation from SCM, NPD Hand drawing design, Cad -cam till the finished product especially diamond jewelry with work force of around 120 people.• Training operators, introduction of using microscope from model making stage till finished product to achieve superior build quality in all diamond products meeting local as well as export order requirements.• Preparation of SOP for all process to meet BPP and RJC requirement of Diamond jewelry manufacturing requirement.• Imparted jewelry manufacturing technology from Hongkong and China.• Member of “star light” team of top management.• Meeting production target &overall responsibility for operational cost control in NPD, Production, Supply Chain & Logistics by restricting expenses within budgeted limits & to consistently perform in terms of OTIFOS deliveries.• Monitor and achieve cost of production within AOP targets.• Monitor, control and achieve gold wastage below 2%.• Closely coordinating with Sales both B2C & B2B in terms of order booking, execution, delivery commitment, quality review/feedback, etc.

Chief Tasks Handled & Significant contribution.• Managing full-Diamond jewellery manufacturing production unit of 50 staff members & 270 operators encompassing Order booking/Receiving, Production (NPD ,Cad/Cam, RPT, RTV, Casting, Assembly, Diamond setting, Buffing and Rhodium), Consumable stores, gold refining, Packing and 3PL.• Preparation of AOP based on projected order inflow.Reduce costs and equipment functionality by creating team spirit, section wise cost conscious.• Successfully Conducted a 100/100- improvement program (hundred improvements in hundred days) involving all members of the unit.• Monitoring production , ensuring integrity of production & reduced lead time for exclusive bigger, Fine jewelry( Belt, Hair decor, Big necklace), distribution of work load to all section by product mix feeding & maintaining productivity levels.• Continual improvement in Gold loss and wastage reduction in all process by technological up gradation and continuous monitoring of operator performance based on production and loss & achieved overall gold loss of 3 to 4 % against production.• Monitoring new product development team for continual improvement in jewelry by co-ordination with Design, Cad department & Merchandising team.Successfully replaced hand made models, in the area of silver model making by new cad developed designs, resulting in reduced man power, time and cost.• Apart from catering parent company Kirtilals; job work from other jewelers were taken to meet the spare capacity.• Negotiated with third party logistics on costs for valuable cargo handling and movement point to point destination procedures resulting in a 25% cost reduction.• Tracking the material movement by In house built automation program (ERP) & Preparation of MIS (manufacturing) report for monthly Top management review.• Implementation of ISO 9001:2008 standards in manufacturing in alignment with all stores requirement, Customer feedback for continual improvement and system in place.

Manager Production.Joined as a Trainee Chemist in May’1990 and was then promoted to the position of a Chemist and Manager production after successful completion of MBA in July’1995.Chief Tasks Handled Responsible for overall Production & process control activity for all types of plating, hard anodizing and prospecting semi and fully automatic baths. Oversee the effluent Treatment plant of 70000cb lit/day. Liaison with the Pollution Control Authority and maintain training methods and records to meet statutory limits. Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO 9001) and prepare the section manual for ISO 9001 Documentation, identify areas of quality failures and take steps to rectify the system. Supervise a team of 3 technical assistants & 75 operators.Significant Contributions Successful Collaboration with M/s Poeton & Co., UK, for Hard anodizing operation. Instrumental in the commencement of the project from the scratch and achieved to the international standards. Instrumental in giving alternative suggestion for Cadmium plating.  Introduced Acid Chloride zinc plating, which reduced cost of production, increased the production; reduced entire cyanide involved in process and enhanced safe effluent treatment. Developed new jigs & fixture system for hard anodizing process which reduced process time and increased production. Identified new machine for uniform polishing of rods instead of Hand polish. Introduced new electro-chemical brightening process which reduced both manpower of 8 persons per shift and time reduced to 15 minutes instead of 8hrs working for the same quantity of pieces which were manually buffed. Processed pieces were observed and new parameter was set in process by frequent observation and solved to the required standard. Initiated green revolution team with a slogan – Treat the environment in Textool way, plant another tree and nurse it every day.
