I am a Spring 2023 CSUN Computer Science bachelor's graduate with a minor in Mathematics, and have been working as a software engineer at Amazon for over a year now. At Amazon, I have coordinated projects with strict deadlines that contribute to the UI of the company's retail website Amazon.com for grocery searches in global marketplaces such as the US, Japan, and France to name a few. Working in the Grocery Experience department, I have worked on features on the Add To Cart button that have been used by over 3 million customers and internal metrics for our services. I've learned about testing frameworks in Java and Javascript, got experience reviewing other engineers code to ensure faulty code doesn't get released, and managing my progress with Jira to track defects, milestones, and stories.I interned at PennyMac in 2023 where I first got hands-on experience working with git, python, and managing my own project from start to finish, which was a language interpreter for the finance department. I also ran a coding club at my university, and during my nearly 2 year presidency I tutored over 20 students in Java programming concepts to improve their interview and class performance. My portfolio website showcases some web development and group projects that are viewable in this link: https://sergiohernandez.dev/
