Profile bio

About Seth Carpenter

I am a committed, experienced technology leader with over 18 years of experience building teams and creating software products for industrial automation and industrial cyber security customers across the globe. I am a strong supporter of agile development, and have led multiple teams in successful agile transformations.I started my career as a software engineer deep in the bowels of Microsoft DCOM and the industrial OPC protocol, and since then have had the chance to learn from experts and customers around the world to design, architect, and build products that solve real problems. I love creating new products and technology, and am the inventor or co-inventor on 13 U.S. patents and 18 international patents.I have been mentored by talented, caring managers and coworkers throughout my career, and try to provide that same support to the engineers I manage and work with every day.I still put two spaces after every period. I know the typewriter is long dead, and that every HTML renderer in the world strips them out, but sentences just look wrong without both of them.
