As Mapping Department Manager, I continue to lead the GIS team in the region, supporting all local activity for new project planning, construction, operations, producer customer/business partner coordination, corporate functions, and external stakeholders. During my time in this role, the accuracy and completeness of our enterprise GIS data sets has improved considerably. Development of GIS team task procedures/standards and a focus on data management best practices have increased the profession image of the group and enhanced productivity and consistency. I have lead the introduction and successful deployment of sub-meter GPS and web-mapping technology. I also sit on the MarkWest GIS Steering Committee. As Land Systems Manager, I co-lead the design and implementation, and I am now the system owner of a new project management tool set (PCCM) for the Land, Environmental, Roadway, Route Development, Engineering, and Construction disciplines. PCCM provides significantly improved team communication, project scheduling, benchmark reporting, and executive visibility into critical path obstacles and overall project progression. PCCM has system integration points with the enterprise GIS system and Oracle Business Intelligence. Other projects where I have served a SME role include a technical document approval workflow and an FTP replacement project. As Land Records Manager, I have local responsibility for two regional file rooms as well as the scanning and indexing of new agreements into the corporate SharePoint land agreement repository.

I currently lead all things requiring geodetics in the MarkWest northeast region, including all activity throughout our extensive processing and gathering network in the Marcellus and Utica shales. I manage the Route Development, GIS, and Survey Departments, with current staffing at 44 and 40+ survey crews. As such, I work closely with Land, Environmental, Roadway, Engineering, and Construction to deliver new pipeline projects on time and on budget. Recent and planned pipeline development activity exceeds $40MM of survey alone. My routing team is also responsible for new compression and M&R site selection to ensure proper integration with the regional pipeline system. My GIS team is also responsible for regional business development and customer coordination. I sit on the MarkWest GIS Steering Committee and co-lead an effort to bring in a new Land Management tool set by geoAMPS.

Leetonia Ohio

As Site Planning Supervisor, I was responsible for leading the ramp up and execution of a multi-rig Utica exploration & delineation program throughout eastern Ohio. As such, I lead a multidisciplinary team of land, title, permitting, water, construction, and road maintenance professionals to ensure the successful delivery of all rig-ready drilling locations. I was also responsible for budget development and expenditure tracking.

My work at CNX spanned many facets of the E&P business model. As a member of the Northern Appalachia Conventional and Shale project teams, I worked extensively with engineering, geology, reserves, land, permitting, site construction, operations, business development, marketing, strategic/capital planning, and controllers. Appalachia’s aggressive topography, multi-state footprint, and both active and legacy coal mining activity present a unique mix of operational complexities. The majority of my time since joining CNX has been spent developing, implementing, and documenting a comprehensive procedure for designing and optimizing the layout of vertical and horizontal wells in this challenging region. Due to these ongoing responsibilities, I have a thorough understanding of vertical/horizontal well spacing, horizontal lateral alignment, multi-well pad layout specifications, coal mine design/operations, drilling, completion, and production. I have also contributed toward the development of an enterprise spatial land data management system, designed to handle tracts of various estates, control types, control statuses, and spatial quality levels. Other task involvement includes quarterly/year-end 3P reserve support, long range plan exploration/development planning, division-of-interest setup, potential O&G acquisition analysis, UIC planning, and proposed/as-built pipeline mapping.

My contributions in the Vegetation Management Department supported management’s drive to enforce established department protocols, improving contractor performance and quality control. I developed and implemented GPS field data collection software, successfully translating arboricultural theories/techniques for efficient digital data collection. My work was focused on process improvement, cost containment, productivity enhancements, and compliance reporting. I was also responsible for GPS equipment vendor qualification, technical specification review, and procurement negotiations for the department.

I managed data gathering, data analysis, database maintenance, and graphic production for several high profile transportation projects – the Southern Beltway I-79 to Mon/Fayette Expressway Transportation Project E.I.S, the Pennsylvania High-Speed Maglev Project E.I.S, and Design Sections 53B and 53N of the Mon/Fayette Expressway S.R. 51 to I-376. The large scale of these projects required extensive project teaming, making project coordination and QAQC skills essential. I utilized my spatial analysis expertise to quantify and visualize the potential impact of these major construction projects. I was also responsible fortraining coworkers, significantly increasing project productivity. I organized a company-wide GIS user forum, creating a corporate knowledge base and promoting internal communication. Other responsibilities included GIS software license administration, ensuring interoperability standards were met and software utilization was maximized.
