Responsible for managing a range of small engineering projects involved in water treatment and paper and pulp across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa for chemical manufacturer, Buckman. This involved specifying dosing pumps and systems for applications given pressure drop, flowrate and chemical compatibility data. I have also worked with other members of the Projects team to provide asset management support for Buckman equipment including supplying spare parts (diaphragm valves, foot valves etc) to minimise risk to dosing operations.Acquired product training in water quality instrumentation including pH and turbidity sensors and water process controllers that use proportional, integral and derivative controls.

Collaborated with the principal scientist and R&D technologists as part of the Horizon 3 team focusing longer term projects associated with Additive-Layer Manufacturing.- Quantitative analysis of the IR absorbance of powder composites using FTIR.- Report on performance of tested IR absorbent candidate PAEK materials.- Powder handling to prepare customer samples for testing, involving the SPICER mixer.- Supported a PAEK (polyaryletherketones) ageing project, utilising the Instron 3369 tensometer to investigate mechanical properties of aged samples. - Compositional analysis of PAEK surface treated samples, using various instruments and methods to identify an unknown substance, such as: FTIR, Intrinsic Viscosity, DSC and Optical Microscope.- Preparation of database for external modelling study.- Reporting experimental procedures and results in official formats, electronically and in laboratory books.- Statistical analysis of experimental data for validation; trends and error.- Prepared a presentation to deliver results of my internship project to members of the UK Addictive Manufacturing consortium.
