Connally High School transitioned from suburban to Title I status during my first six years with the campus. I initially worked with the 9th grade and supervised that cohort of students through their sophomore, junior and senior years. After the Class of 2008 graduated, I returned to the ninth grade to commit three years establishing four teams of teachers for the newly formed Cornerstone Academy, a project that continues to thrive today. I next worked with the tenth grade for three additional years to establish teaming within our sophomore grade level. For the 2014-2015 I have worked to strengthen professional learning communities throughout the campus and to guide the development of our various departments and our department chairs.Department Supervision:• Special Education 2004-2008• Social Studies 2008-2014• Math 2015 o 2015 STAAR scores for first-time Algebra I testers increased by 17% o 2015 STAAR scores for all Algebra 1 testers (first-time and re-testers) increased by 10%

Instructed sixth and seventh grade beginning readers and oversaw thirteen other colleagues in the department. Coordinated State Developed Alternative Assessment (SDAA) for all exceptional needs student on campus.

While obtaining my Masters in Special Education, I developed instructional training for various adult literacy providers throughout the state of Texas as part of a statewide literacy grant secured from Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Developed English as a Second Language classes for adults and trained adult literacy volunteers in partnership with Literacy Austin (Travis County Adult Literacy Council) and Austin Community College.

Served as the Curriculum Coordinator for five years to assist with the development of our Overseas Program, a content-based English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program. Developed and taught content-based EFL classes for students whose educational plans included further post-secondary study in the US. Worked directly with Japanese administration to establish a sister-school relationship with the University of Portland, Oregon.

Instructed grades nine through twelve in English Language Arts, European Literature and Traditional Oral Literature at Ol'Kalou Secondary School in the highlands of Kenya about two hours north of Nairobi.
