About Shacara Telemaque, M.Ed

"You don’t know what you don’t know….until someone asks a question that highlights the knowledge gap."This is a common theme I experienced as a young adult and have observed throughout my 10 years working in higher education and non-profit spaces. As the first in my family to go to college, I thought the hardest part was over after being accepted into my dream college. Little did I know how many steps it would take to transition into and graduate from a higher education institution. Luckily, I had a support network that taught me how to navigate unfamiliar systems so that I could make the best choice for myself and my family.Since then, I have been inspired to take on roles where I can influence the actions of others by encouraging them to make well-informed decisions. I hope to motivate and guide people to reflect on their personal, social, academic, and financial interests in order to successfully navigate life’s journeys.

Listed skills include Youth Mentoring, Youth Work, Building Relationships, Communication Skills, and 22 others.
