Through my years of graduate study and undergraduate instruction, I have developed a strong capacity for learning and have honed my ability to gather, analyze, synthesize, and understand information for direct application or communication. I am a responsible, organized, and self-motivated individual who thrives on overcoming challenges. In my experience as an instructor specifically, I have had the opportunity to develop communication strategies which are important for conveying complex information to diverse audiences. Prudent time management and working independently on multiple simultaneous projects are common practice for me, but I also have significant experience co-teaching classes with multiple colleagues, requiring excellent interpersonal organization, cooperation, and teamwork. Handling grades and sensitive student information requires a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail, and I have always taken care to maintain proper procedures in that regard.My extensive philosophical training and past experience in computer programming have both contributed to strong reasoning skills. Whether inductive or deductive, I have a solid understanding of logical pitfalls and proper analytical techniques. This ability greatly informs my general approach to problem solving, which I have found to be a very useful skill in any number of diverse situations.I am interested in continuing to utilize and expand upon my skill set, and am a valuable asset in positions which emphasize research, learning, or training. I find that a positive attitude and eye for detail are often crucial to a job well done, and aim to approach every task with geniality and focus.
