• The program was mentored by Rocket Chat’s COO and one of the experienced Staff Engineers; under the guidance of the above two mentors, I have designed the UI mockups and developed the frontend and the required backend.
• Learnt more about working in Global teams and how to become a better Open Source software developer.
• In this program, my project was developing an E2E virtual event handling system.
• The project aims to integrate Jitsi SDK (Open Source video conferencing system), Open Event Server (Eventyay’sbackend), and RocketChat (open source communications platform).
• The streaming component for events is made efficient using the RTMP forest technique, which makes it easily availableto stream for millions of viewers.
• The technologies used were NextJS, ReactJS, GraphQL, Redux, Python, FQL, FaunaDB, Linux, and SQL.

Remote

• Developed Web3 components based on MetaMask Ethereum Provider API to connect the user to a crypto wallet andview their account id and balance.
• Developed a component that fetches users’ NFT with OpenSea API and sets one of them as the users’ profile picture, using GraphQL and Fauna in the backend.
• Developed a component that provides the feature for users to temporarily upload an image, which pins it to the IPFS provider, and provides the user with the CID of the content uploaded. The user could later use the CID.

• Worked on developing a new Artist detail page, which made use of Subsonic API, Spotify API, and the LastFM API, a feature request required by ~1M users.
• Improved the UI of Song display time and the page width and enhanced the responsiveness of the site.
• Enhanced the Log-in Page and introduced a new Light theme.
• Added the support for permission policy resulting in improvement of site security rating from C to B on Security Headers.
• Improved the PWA notifications to make the notification panel color the same as the current site theme.
• Worked on implementing lazy load, thus providing better UX for users.

• Worked on Mozilla's Common Voice project.
• Improved the display graph and rankings of voice contributions, resolving the overlapping of graph index and overflowing of user rank columns.
• Improved the UI by introducing dividers in the footer of the site.
