Project Highlights:Served as the Technical Lead for the ATCS project in Riyadh, KSA. The project involved the deployment of an adaptive traffic control system using video-based vehicle detection to operate 350 signalized intersections across the city from a central Operations Center. - Lead the design, deployment & configuration of the servers, storage, network and software at the TOC server room. This involved designing and deploying a high-availability virtualized environment on clustered hardware with redundant network equipment. Responsible for expansion and integration of the network with external agencies for video distribution.- Liaising with software development teams in Atlanta & San Diego to coordinate deployment of software releases, report bugs, implement new features and coordinate delivery of system updates based on client expectations. - Oversaw the design, deployment and testing of a point-to-point microwave network and a private APN with a local cellular service provider to connect the intersections with the control center. Accountable for on-going monitoring, maintenance and expansion of both field networks.- Developed the overall system testing strategy and developed test plans and procedures based on tracing to client requirements using SpiraTest to achieve complete requirements coverage. Executed the central system software test plans to achieve software acceptance.- Developed the training methodology and training material for various subsystems and software functionality and delivered both hands-on and classroom type. Established certification-based training tracks comprising of a series of training courses to get new recruits up to speed with the system.

ITS scheme & telecommunications network design, ATMS software functional design and equipment specification creation for the State of Qatar's Expressway and Local Roads program:- System specification and high-level design of the ATMS software system to be deployed in the state of Qatar.- Creation of the Ashghal telecommunication strategy document to outline the network requirements for all ITS expressway and local roads schemes to be deployed in the State of Qatar. This includes the specification of the network topology to be followed for the access layer, provisioning for the distribution layer and allocation of fiber for schemes.- ITS design of on-scheme systems and the associated electrical and telecommunications design for various projects as part of the overall ITS design effort for the State of Qatar.- Development of the system architecture, functional requirements and layout of the Lusail Traffic Management Center. This includes specification of required equipment, interfaces with third party systems and integration with the national ATMS software.
