For the past 20+ years, I’ve served the education and technology/gaming industries with an emphasis on producing world-class products and redefining online education.I thrive on hard challenges and constantly seek new value in overlooked and underused possibilities.I am currently a Content Creator & Scriptwriter at Discovery Education, working within the Mystery.org team. Combining videos with engaging visuals and intriguing stories, the Mystery curriculum is a popular elementary resource utilized by over 200,000 teachers and serving nearly 4 million students. I build lessons for Mystery Writing, a new K-5 supplemental writing curriculum.Prior to this, and for over 15 years, I worked at GCFLearnFree.org/GCFGlobal.org, an educational nonprofit in North Carolina that served over 38 million online learners each year.I led the programming team in maintaining our website, tools, and platforms, and I designed and launched the Everyday Life Project, an adult, low-literacy, interactive educational experience that gained critical acclaim and reached over 255,000 learners. I also designed and produced GCF’s Typing Tutor, which has now served over 1.7 million learners worldwide and is currently being used in schools and institutions.Before this, I spent 10 years in the AAA gaming world, where I managed world-class production teams and worked with companies like Pixar, Disney, Oddworld, Scholastic, and Microsoft. I produced games for brands such as Teen Titans, The Incredibles, Mickey Mouse, and The Magic School Bus. I was the Senior Producer for Munch’s Oddysee, an Xbox launch title.More recently, I've focused on using cutting-edge AI tools to produce voiceovers, scripts, lessons, courses, and videos. Leveraging platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, ElevenLabs, Midjourney, DALL-E, Gen-2 by Runway, I continue to explore how AI can benefit both learners and educational content producers. I've created over 1,000 production-ready images using Midjourney and developed professional voice clones using ElevenLabs. I’ve also crafted custom GPT tutors and tools using ChatGPT Pro.My personal passion is discovering ways to harness the vast opportunities offered by AI, using it to empower and transform the lives of learners globally.
