• Responsible for operational performance and improvement of key metrics including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale, by aligning metrics with value stream goals and organizing resources to deliver these metrics• Provide leadership, work direction, and support for a manufacturing team (35-55 team members) within a production area; perform payroll responsibilities, accident investigations, and issue disciplinary actions accordingly• Escalate issues to leadership team; lead team to react aggressively to factory inefficiencies and drive problem solving and root cause identification of issues; ensure related countermeasures are implemented on manufacturing lines• Partner with HR to ensure fair and consistent administration of all policies, rules, and processes• Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization to address and solve production and quality issues; monitor scrap data/reports and drive resolution of issues and work projects to prevent future quality defects• Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing processes, and production control systems to meet business objectives• Prioritize and assign ownership for open items in a production area, track items to closure, and ensure follow up with key stakeholders• Promote a safety culture and ensure the team’s compliance with safety guidelines and procedures, such as PPE compliance, accident investigations, and safe practices• Implement, drive, and champion lean manufacturing practices and ensure escalation processes are followed and adhered to within the value stream• Oversee daily startup of production by ensuring departments are properly staffed and manage staffing throughout the day; monitor expected and unexpected absenteeism and other related personnel issues• Lead and coordinate personnel and equipment; implement and drive qualifications of new products and designs, equipment, assembly lines and work stations
