* Managing and coordinating the development team of the in house legacy Enterprise application used to book temporary medical staff in the UK and South Africa.* Supplying technical specifications for development team on new requirements. This would include a code specification, database alterations and modifications to servers to support new technologies.* Integration with PayPal IPN ( Instant Payment Notifications ) where PayPal sends instant notifications when a transaction involves your account, i.e. payment, dispute, reversal, etc.. This included making use of proxy passing to redirect the IPNs from our public server to our private server, as well as a listener to handle the IPNmessage.* Deployment of software systems. This was regularly done by ANT tasks.* Implementing change requests of the Enterprise application.Integration with in-house cloud based platform ( StaffShift ). This included the use of HTTPS ( RESTful API ).* Agile meetings such as: Daily Stand Up and Retrospective meetings, at the end of a 2 week milestone, to gauge performance and improve on flaws identified within the team.* Code reviews. Peer reviews.* System administration. This would include maintenance of Linux and database servers.

General improvement of concurrency scenarios.* Improving system performance by implementing generic permission handling algorithms.* Optimizing databases by applying indexes to heavily used tables.* Data extraction from third party applications that were acquired by a merger of various companies.* This information would then be stored on the Enterprise application.* Creating reports using Jasper to supply brand managers with stats for teams and monthly KPI’s.
