Led a team in the design and development of an electronic payment system for September 11 charities. This payment system processed over one million transactions and 100 million dollars and was written entirely in Java.Primary role was designing, managing, and maintaining payment processing system for Texas Online portal to process both credit card and ACH payments. Helped design and refactor the database schema and SQL to allow for up to 50 concurrent transactions. Originally written in Java and C++, it was eventually refactored to be written entirely in Java. The system adhered to ISO 8583 and NACHA specifications for communication with payment clearing houses and is still in use today.Designed, built, and deployed customer service web applications and backend databases to automate internal and external processes. The web applications were built with Java J2EE practices. The web application reduced errors in configuration by 50% and reduced initial on-boarding of new customers from one week to one day while also allowing external customers to modify and research their own information.Designed, built, and deployed reporting systems that allowed for dynamic report formats with minimal configuration and coding. Reports were generated using Java and increased overall performance of reports by over 1000% while also allowing for much greater flexibility in reports that could be presented to customers.
