Oversee operation of a day center for adults, children, and families experiencing homelessness. Recruit, train, and retain volunteers as well as development of a donor database. Royal Palm And Street Outreach Teams

Oversee the operations of a transitional housing and Day Center facility, the clinical program for a 130 unit supportive housing program, and the outreach team based in the Housing First model, serving people experiencing homelessness and severe, persistent mental illnesses. Responsibilities include: grant writing and reporting; budgeting; supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff; program development and evaluation; evaluation and development of program policies and procedures; utilizing and auditing electronic medical records and billing compliance; developing and nourishing community partnerships; and implementing trauma-informed services based in recovery and wellness. Also serve on Cascadia’s Diversity Steering Committee.

Safe Shelter

Began as a Resident Assistant working in crisis intervention and milieu management. Promoted to Lead Case Manager in September 2007 doing housing placement and retention services and acting as the on-site leader of the shelter. In December 2007, promoted to Shelter Coordinator conducting on-site supervision for Resident Assistants as well as being the “go-to” for Case Managers, program development, grant report writing, managing statistics, managing client services, on-call supervisor duties, and assisting in budget and contract development. Promoted to Director in January 2009, operating both the Day and Dorm Services, grant writing and reporting, managing a City of Portland contract; supervision and training of Case Managers, Resident Assistants, and volunteers; development of an Advisory Council; participated in PR for the shelter; managing the budgetary processes for the programs; develop policies and procedures regarding service animals and daily operations; community relations as this wet shelter required extensive work to solidify a Good Neighbor Agreement; develop and implement evidence based and gender responsive assessment and intervention strategies; and developed successful grant application for competitive renewable federal grant valued at more than $250,000 annually.

Train and supervise new group counselors; assist in formulation of child care plans; on-call supervisor; group facilitator; manage the house of 13 adolescent boys; assist clients with behavior management; model self-care, living, social, and emancipation skills; cooking; client transports and supervision on outings; and agency documentation.
