Currently a member of Cohort 7 of the Teaching Trust Aspiring Leaders Program. Teaching Trust, in partnership with Southern Methodist University, is a competency based program that will prepare me for a school leadership position in an urban school setting.

- Selected through a highly competitive process to serve impoverished Communities and schools as part of a national Service corps, with rigorous ongoing trainings preparing for further development and leadership roles-Teaching elementary reading and writing at Nancy J. Cochran Elementary. Utilizing data to drive daily instruction. -As a second year teacher, joined the Leadership Team to assist administration in making campus wide decisions focused on curriculum development, campus discipline, and positive staff relationships. In my first year as a writing teacher, closed the achievement gap by 62% when comparing my campus’ previous data to non-economically disadvantaged students. -Teach General Education students as well as individuals with learning challenges in a mainstream classroom.

Work alongside the Associate Director of Development and Community Relations at the Nonprofit Organization. Research, plan, and organize fundraisers/events to spread awareness in the community. Plan for Community Action Month in May. Organize media relation techniques and data for one cumulative binder for media interactions.

Using Microsoft Excel and SPSS database to input data and work with the variables taken from participating families.

As an intern for Habitat For Humanity I was assigned a task to help increase awareness of our organization and widen the range of people served. This included contacting local businesses and community services programs to inform them of our mission. I also found a company willing to work with us, donating time and money, to help our organization better reach Spanish speaking residents, which greatly increased the number of people we could serve. I participated in the Heroes Build on the Mall, in Washington, D.C., which consisted of running a booth and spreading awareness about the programs available to low-income families.

Transporting and working with patients of all ages, helping with exercises and the therapy process unique to each patient. Working with the Physical Therapist to better assist the patients.
