This $750,000 state funded project infuses local Florida African American cemeteries and local African American history into the classroom through the creation and establishment of K-12 curricular materials, oral histories, AR/VR experiences, art, and photovoice.The Rose Hill Cemetery Project www.rosehillcemeteryproject.com. This grant funded project shares the history and stories of local leaders and loved ones buried at the Rose (Hill) Cemetery, the largest intact segregated African American cemetery in Pinellas County.Anthropology and Archaeology curriculum development.
