I handle cases from the filing of the complaint to settlement or verdict, including investigation, fact development, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings and oral argument, expert selection and reports, and trial and/or settlement negotiations. -- Won as lead trial counsel a verdict of more than $1.3 million in Camden County, NJ in favor of a 73-year-old man who suffered a below-the-knee amputation.-- Won as lead trial counsel a verdict in Gloucester County, NJ in favor of a woman who suffered an undiagnosed and untreated vaginal infection, which resulted in the premature birth and death of her infant daughter. -- Recovered as lead counsel a settlement in favor of the Estate of a woman who died as a result of a failure to diagnose pneumonia. -- Recovered favorable settlements on behalf of seven sexual abuse victims of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, including Victim 2, the boy abused in University's shower, as well as Victims 3, 7 and 10, Sandusky's son, and two others. -- Obtained an $18 million settlement with Erie Insurance Exchange in a bad faith insurance action on behalf of a brain injured teenager. This recovery is believed to be the largest bad faith insurance settlement involving a $100,000 policy in Pennsylvania.-- Won as co-counsel a $23.1 million verdict in Lehigh County, PA in favor of a 55-year-old woman who lost both her legs as a result of medical negligence. According to The Legal Intelligencer, the verdict was among the highest of its kind in Pennsylvania over the past decade. -- Obtained a $4 million mid-trial settlement against physicians who failed to diagnose nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

I handled a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, employment discrimination, non-compete agreements, intellectual property matters, professional malpractice and defamation. I worked closely with the human resources departments of large companies and provided counseling in employment decisions and investigations that implicated state and federal law. I worked with business leaders and provided counseling to assess risk and minimize resulting litigation. In addition, I represented companies in administrative and federal court civil rights actions brought by employees or former employees. I supervised litigation teams, including associate attorneys, paralegals and other staff. I developed litigation strategy, prepared briefs, motions and written discovery, conducted oral arguments, hearings and arbitrations, conducted depositions, selected and managed experts, and researched legal issues.-- Obtained summary judgment in favor of a client accused of sexual harassment by a former employee. -- Successfully represented owners of residential condominium units at Two Liberty Place in Philadelphia in defeating a proposal by corporate tenant Unisys Corporation for large, lighted exterior facade signage that would have impacted the Philadelphia skyline.-- Represented The Philadelphia Housing Authority in a civil rights action. After filing a comprehensive motion to dismiss, plaintiff withdrew the action against PHA with prejudice.

I researched and drafted orders, opinions, and memoranda regarding a wide variety of dispositive motions, evidentiary matters, and discovery issues. I prepared the Judge for trials, oral arguments, and attorney conferences.
