I am the founder of Moving Proz. I grew up in San Diego, California and attended college at Arizona State University. I started the company in a small town in Kansas as a side gig on weekends to make some extra cash. I had my first child and I was driven to make the best life possible for my family. I started by renting trucks from the local hardware store, with whom I quickly established a relationship. I would post free ads on craigslist in Lawrence where I would mostly get calls from college kids trying to save a few bucks without having to do any of the hard work. I had a full-time job working in an airplane hangar at the time, taking apart old airplanes for parts at $10 an hour.I got the idea to start a moving company from my friend Doug who hired me to work with him back in San Diego where I’m from. I quickly saw the freedom in entrepreneurship and was absolutely hooked. I would stay up until four in the morning Googling my competition and doing market research. To say this has been the biggest challenge of my life is a vast understatement. Starting Moving Proz has been both the best and hardest thing I have ever done in my life next to being a father to two amazing boys. I have a newfound respect for small business owners and entrepreneurs of all kinds. It has made me a better person and frankly turned me into a man who values his character more than anything else. I believe that people should be better off having known you, and I live every day with that in mind.With years of hard work and dedication, we have won numerous awards including Angie’s List Super Service award year after year. We are the highest-rated moving company in Kansas City. We truly have an amazing team and I’m humbled to have the opportunity to come to work with our Moving Proz family every day.
