Enlisted Marine

Worked with the prime contractor, support contractors, and government personnel in the development of the USMC's next generation radar, the Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR). With a team we transitioned requirements to reality. -Served as a member of the Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) engineering team.-Government lead for two of three integrated process teams.-Led an analysis of alternatives for classified radar equipment.-Primary government representative for Human Systems Integration efforts on the program.Received two Commander's Excellence in Engineering Awards.

Supported numerous testing events that required the use of the AN/TPS-59 RADAR, AN/TPS-63 RADAR, and Radar Environment Simulator.Led New Equipment Training (NET) on the AN/TPS-59(V)3 Radar.-Provided training to all Marine Air Control Squadrons in the USMC (CONUS and OCONUS).-Reworked contractor provided instructional materials to better suit the USMC.Responsible Officer for $16,000,000 worth of USMC assets.Served as the unit's Equal Opportunity Representative.-Reported directly to the Commanding Officer for all EO items.-Provided training to the entire unit.-Advised the Commanding Officer on all EO matters.Received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for accomplishments at unit.

Basic Instructor of the Year for Radar Maintenance Training Section for 1993.Base Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter for 2nd quarter of FY93.Senior Instructor of the Year for 1995.Senior Instructor of the Year for A Company for FY96.Served as an instructor at the Radar Fundamentals Course.-Adjusted curriculum to be more relevant.Served as an instructor at the AN/TPS-63 Radar Course.-Participated in the validation of the learning analysis of the course.-Taught all lessons in the course.-Implemented training on other military topics to fill large dead spaces experienced by the students.-Implemented a formal graduation celebration for all classes.Served as the chief instructor at the AIMS Repair Course.-Began the transition to electronic media.Received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for volunteer work with children within the local community.Received multiple awards as an instructor.

Responsible for the maintenance and installation for all IFF equipment with the unit. -Diagnosed problems with equipment-Documented all maintenance actions-Requisitioned parts to make repairs-Conducted all repairsParticipated in numerous exercises in support of the unit.Additionally served as a member of the AN/TPS-32 long, range RADAR crew.Received an award for performance of duties while serving on an exercise in South Korea.
