Shawn combines his extensive practical experience in the cannabis industry with his academic credentials in medical cannabis science and therapeutics. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with a focus on policy and advocacy, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from North Carolina A&T. He founded Burners Block, a movement that supports cannabis advocacy, education, and community building. Through this initiative, he helps inmates with nonviolent cannabis offenses, leads community projects, and provides mentorship and education on the cannabis industry and plant science. Shawn is passionate about creating legitimate avenues for individuals from similar backgrounds as his, and leveraging his past experiences for positive change within the industry.
