I work in Denver's Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency (CASR) to support the City's policy priorities and CASR's mission to equitably meet Denver’s energy and transportation needs with affordable, reliable, and carbon-free systems.

I have written freelance content for various publications and companies, including feature stories, essays, interviews and promotional materials. I worked as a researcher for a private investigator and as a news curator for a news app. In addition, I have had several short stories published in literary journals.

I was a regular contributor to OnboardOnline.com, producing features, interviews and app reviews. I wrote in-depth and informative stories on a variety of subjects, including piracy and the use of private security firms onboard yachts and container ships, and the relationship between wealthy patrons and the arts. In addition, I wrote regularly on economic and industry trends.

I worked as the senior editor and lead journalist for OnboardOnline.com, a news site for the superyacht industry. In addition to writing features and interviews, I managed editorial content for the startup online magazine. I recruited a team of industry specialists to write guest columns and worked closely with them in order to bring insightful and informed columns to our readers. I worked with the owner in order to develop the scope and mission of the project, almost from its inception, and helped to adapt the company for success.

I was one of two reporters working out of the St. Croix bureau, tasked with covering daily news on the island and across the U.S. territory. I researched and wrote an average of three stories per day, in addition to developing longer, in-depth projects. I worked as the primary education reporter, but covered everything from crime and energy to the legislature and land development. I provided detailed reporting on the debate over education reform, and spearheaded coverage of the environmental and economic fallout from the closing of one of the world's largest oil refineries, HOVENSA.

I was a reporting intern for The Tico Times, Central America's largest weekly, English newspaper. I wrote features for the Weekend section and in-depth enterprise stories for the News section of the paper. I covered Costa Rica's economy, environment, development and crime while at the paper.

I reported for The Associated Press for 11 weeks throughout the Arkansas legislative session of 2009, writing both spot news stories, and producing longer, enterprise stories.

In connection with the Miami University Journalism Department, I worked with Cox editors in Southwestern Ohio to produce enterprise stories during my final semester in college.

I worked for four hours a day, two days a week, writing news and feature stories in the West Chester Bureau while taking a full schedule at Miami University. I wrote about politics, social initiatives and extreme sports during my internship at the newspaper.

I worked around 40 hours a week as a daily reporter, writing an average of five or six articles a week. I had my own beats, but would also cover other beats when other reporters were out. I wrote everything from straight news to feature stories for the two months I was at the newspaper.
