About Michael Sheen

I am an IT Professional with a wide range of experience and responsibilities within IT, including managing offshore teams and supervising operations team members. I have a positive personality, am adaptable and self-motivated working equally well as an individual, team-member or at a supervisor level; preferring to remain 'hands-on' and to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies.Skills include incident and problem management, alongside the implementation and configuration of robust monitoring solutions. As lead technician of a 24/7 support team it was necessary to have immediate availability given to high priority (often high-stress) incidents in response to and resolution of issues. Responsible for the mobilisation of 'war room' conference calls whilst taking a lead on the resolution responsibilities. Maintaining a team in multiple locations and time-zones, including ensuring that system availability and monitoring is covered at all times.In addition to my previous role I undertook the planning and management of the department training (budgets, scheduling and agendas) enabling colleagues to further enhance their professional skills. Assisting in this way gave me great personal pleasure and pride.
