Information Assurance- Awareness Team

Supervise a team of five highly technical IT professionals consisting of civilian, military and contractors. Responsible for defining, engineering and implementing an Enterprise Architecture for the National Guard that fully integrates business processes with information systems across operational, technical and systems architectures. Currently responsible for working with functional business leads in identifying and defining their automation requirements to eliminate duplicity and ensure architectural compliance with the Joint Technical Architecture - Army (JTA-A). Provide policy guidance and standardization for the network that spans across the 50 states and 4 territories and the National Capital Region.

Lead over thirty military, civilian and contractor personnel. Filled in for the Division Chief in his absence on numerous occasion and kept staff on track with mission assignments. Managed the Operation of the Information Technology Division with the responsibility for IT systems including 3 separate networks, over 2500 computers, 150 switches and 50+ servers which resulted in an excellent rating from the Army School House of Training (TRADOC). Successfully managed the automated information processing, computer systems, and local area networks for over 600 personnel, 8 Training Centers, 60 classrooms at the Army National Guard Professional Education Center.

Coordinated world-wide Department of the Army activities in support the the Army National Guard in crisis situations under the Director of Army Operations. Implemented all relative decisions of the Senior Army Leadership and supported the Army in meeting all Federal requirements. Exchanged information with other agencies and coordinated with the Senior Staff of the Army and the Senior Staff of the Army National Guard during a crisis. Coordinated actions by monitoring and udating operations security information for the National Guard border mission, natural disaters, and other support to civil authorities which required Army National Guard support.

Served as the Chief of Testing and Evaluation (T&E) for the combined sustainment of the $2.5 billion RCAS and $250 million Distance Learning Programs. Provide oversight of a verification and validation contract. Plan, coordinate, and develop T&E strategies for all RCAS products and baselines to ensure that the are fully tested and Integrated. Supervise all T&E activities to ensure their integrity and implement required process improvements.

Coordinated throuthout the Central Command Area of Responsibility to facilitate the deployment and redeployment of Army National Guard units. Coordinated with the Combined Forces Land Component Commander, G-4 staff, and other appropriate staff elements to track unit equipment and report status, to the National Guard G-4 Staff. Resolved logistical issues with units within the area of responsibility. Monitored property book actions of units for property accountability. Provided support for the Governor Delegation and Joint Military Access Reserve Component missions.
