I specialise in helping brilliantly courageous people like you who work in community and education as educators, artists, facilitators, and public or third sector professionals. You may work in different settings but you have much in common. You serve others and work in challenging, fast paced, changeable and sometimes volatile environments. You are an enabler, facilitating the development of others; you see your work as a ‘practice’ and you love to be constantly reflecting and growing in your practice. You’re deeply committed but the work can be emotionally challenging and exhausting, you feel busy, stressed, and, quite frankly, frazzled. This is impacting on your success, your work and home-life. You don't need to stay Frazzled! Thriving Facilitators is a low cost membership aimed at supporting heart-centred practitioners who want more from their work-life. Heart-centred practitioners need to get out of survival mode, continue doing the purpose driven work they're called to do and thrive without compromising their integrity. Thriving Facilitators offers coaching & mentoring, reflective practice via a development pathway, and a community of like-minded practitioners who, like you, are invested in getting support and developing their practice. Existing members include practitioners and facilitators working in prison & probation, mental health, social work, young people, dementia, people with lung conditions, special educational needs, and housing estates. To find out more see sheilapreston.com Background :I worked for over 24 years in HE supporting and training emerging artists & practitioners working in community/educational settings, including 10 years full time senior lecturer at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama developing and contributing to their BA Applied Theatre programme and the MA Applied Theatre. My most recent position was at UEL as head of a large department of 33 colleagues, leading change, and developing new curriculum.I’ve written two books on Applied Theatre and Facilitation, and was founder of the Applied Theatre book series. I published articles on emotional labour, drawing on my own experience, and research with artists, teachers and nurses. I now offer coaching, training & supervision supporting practitioners working in challenging settings.I developed The Thriving Facilitators Membership to provide year-round affordable coaching & supervision for heart-centred practitioners working in community & education.Download my latest e-book http://bit.ly/2ExH7z1www.sheilapreston.com
