I managed the daily operations of bundled workforce programs for one of Aerotek's major automotive clients, General Motors (GM) per the Statement of Work (SOW) requirements. These bundled programs are high-volume, multi-year contracts providing customized staffing solutions nationwide, to reduce GM’s structural costs. My job was to initiate, document and communicate all bundled program policies and guidelines, and to establish & carry out standard operating procedures. I also compiled and reported on standardized key performance indicator (KPI) metrics for each bundle to GM.Some of the monthly reporting I developed & presented to GM were: new hire training progress, aptitude scores, incentive program results, and attrition rates.Overall I acted as a centralized point of program contact between GM, Aerotek corporate and field offices, and Aerotek contract employees, to proactively identify and thoroughly resolve all issues in an effective, timely manner.Due to strong KPI's, we were able to successfully renew our staffing contract for the GM Regional Consulting Center / Field Services bundle over the years, with over 230 contract employees based in five key regional GM zones. I thoroughly enjoyed establishing strong professional partnerships with GM Zone Managers and local Aerotek Account Managers to build a motivated contractor team environment, promote best practices, adherence to GM policies, and ensuring contract employees meet key GM business objectives.

I was a member of the Program Solutions & Management team, based at the company's Redwood Shores, CA headquarters. The team was set up to handle all of Oracle's non-standard global manufacturing & distribution needs. Our team developed & implemented customized programs to support internal corporate initiatives, per their logistical & budgetary requirements, from start to finish. In this role I worked closely with Oracle Manufacturing and Distribution (M&D) to oversee the production of scheduled, serial releases of kitted software per the specified bill of materials, to be delivered on schedule to the fulfillment vendor - KAO Infosystems / Zomax. I facilitated between the entire supply chain, including M&D, KAO, Value Added Distributors, various Oracle business units, and the international subsidiaries.

I oversaw procurement operations for school district clients, including optimizing inventory levels and maintaining profitable vendor relationships, totaling $30 million in annual sales. We built successful partnerships with Ingram-Micro, the world’s largest technology distributor, and Apple Computer, a leading provider of educational software, hardware, and IT / administration. I organized site licenses for school districts with top educational software providers, such as The Learning Company, Broderbund, and Mindscape. I also purchased hardware, software, and peripherals in high volumes for systems integration engagements.

In this role I performed procurement strategies and inventory management operations for three retail and mail-order divisions (including Pottery Barn), at the company's world HQ in San Francisco. The divisions combined brought in $250 million in annual sales.Our inventory management team established effective long-term strategic purchasing programs with over 150 domestic vendors and 16 foreign buying agents in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, to optimize costs, quality, packaging, and timeliness of deliveries. We performed pre-season sales projections at the sku level, forecasted overall catalog sales curves, negotiated buy quantities, purchasing terms, costs, packaging, and delivery schedules with vendors. We also evaluated vendor performance and presented assessments to senior management for future catalogs.
