New Bio: I’m a retired snowbird living between Minnesota and Arizona (sometimes at the Robinson Ranch in Montana). I occasionally teach a class or two, write grants and work with the GFWC-Florence Woman’s Club as 2nd VP and Membership Chair. I also serve as the Arizona State Communications Chair for GFWC - AZ. My husband and I love to kayak, e-bike ride and hike. Honestly, I’m still adjusting to the “retirement” lifestyle. I’m ponding what I’m going to do “next”.Old Bio: I retired from the position of Executive Director of a large private, nonprofit organization in N.E. MN. Range Center, Inc. has 14 facilities throughout NE MN serving individuals with developmental disabilities and related conditions in residential and vocational settings. The organization is unionized by the United Steelworkers of America. I have served on several nonprofit boards, including the United Way of NE MN, Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Central Iron Range Initiative (CIRI) for Economic Development. In 2007, the MN Speaker of the House appointed me as one of 3 citizen members of the Iron Range Resources Board (IRRRB).In addition to my full time position, I keep academically active by working as an adjunct instructor at several universities. I teach statistics, research and several graduate courses in organization development.Specialties: My areas of expertise are legislative issues, Federal Labor & Industry and unionization (labor relations). My doctoral dissertation focuses on the significance of social/professional networking on hiring practices. I am a novice political strategist; working on local and regional races. I also write speeches, grants and technical papers. ( I recently bought a great camera to study photography - I love to take candid photos of people).
