Delighted to share that I have rejoined SYPartners full-time as a Partner and Interim General Manager of our Middle East office. An extraordinary opportunity with an outstanding team -- doing the work of my career. So grateful for our clients in the UAE and their enormous trust in us. In this chapter I am building on everything that I've learned over the last 40 years. That experience includes: Founding one of the industry’s first B2B marketing services companies specializing in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Blue chip clients included IBM, SAP, PeopleSoft, JDEdwards, Siemens, Motorola, Vignette, Intrado, CDW, Level 3, US West, Qwest, and Liberty Bell (which was acquired by Dish Networks.) Sold Leopard to WPP in 2006. Working with c-suite leaders in times of strategic change—with founders as they navigate early stage pivots and with leadership teams as they define their strategies, make key acquisitions and articulate their short and longer-term approaches to customers, employees, partners and industry/financial analysts. Translating strategy, technology and brand value propositions into customer facing programs that deliver topline growth. Developing and delivering the behavior change strategies and differentiated content necessary to support sales teams as they move from selling technology to technical buyers to selling solutions to business buyers. Embedding in entrepreneurial environments to drive strategic change: including acting as contract vice president of marketing during the “start up” phase of IBM’s $13B Software division and acting as CMO of a $100M founder-led company during the company’s strategic acquisition of a competitor and their subsequent rebrand. Coaching leaders as they drive culture change including articulating a clear and inspiring purpose; defining a compelling vision that paints a vivid picture of the future; establishing values and behaviors that set the company or team norms for interaction; and most importantly finding their own authentic leadership style.
