I worked with clients to identify and address their content needs. The role included creating content for blogs and leadership articles, websites, press release, video scripts, newsletters, brochures, mailers, reports, social media etc. on project basis with independent clients. Clients I worked with include: Corporates like GMR Group and GreyOrange, Tego, travel companies, hospitality sector, top leadership and start ups. I also work with graphic designers, ideating and creating the illustrations, layouts and design to get the right message across.

Banjara Trails India (formally called Nomadic Trails India): Been associated with this travel and adventure company since its inception and have set up its communication strategy ground up. Led IT and technology accounts where I worked with international clients such as Nokia, ADB Safegate, Amadeus, Volvo and Pay U, among others, to tend to their content development needs. Gained experience in working on brochures, fact sheets, speeches, blogs, authored articles, industry articles, internal communication letters, memos, Q&A’s, website content, press releases, sustainability reports etc.

Rose to the position of Assistant Editor from Senior Copy Editor and headed the News Desk with a team of 8-10 people. Was in charge of bringing the edition out by tracking the news flow, editing/rewriting stories, giving catchy/factual headlines and designing pages. Attended the editorial meeting and engaged with reporters to stay on top of the day's developments. The role included leadership and teamwork where I delegated work and reviewed performance to ensure there were no errors. Also worked on elements such as boxes and maps to make the paper visually appealing and easy to read.

Started as a trainee and rose to the post of Chief Sub Editor. Worked on Page 1, National and International desks at the newspaper. Also wrote about art and cultural events of the city. Headed the International Desk for 4 years (Consisted of extensive coverage spread across 3 pages along with a special page on newsmakers). Also took charge of special pages as well as weekly specials on art, books and theater. Role included keeping track of news flow, delegating work, editing, ensuring all pages are error free and leading the desk.
