The company is involved in export of thermal coal from Indonesia and domestic nickel ore trading.Working as a Business Development Manager, I was responsible to look for new business opportunities, and analyse the changing market trends to take informed decisions.

I was Involved in the operations of international and domestic commodity trading of Thermal coal, Coking coal and FerroChrome.I also had the opportunity to visit some manufacturing facilities to gain in depth understanding of the application of the end use of the traded commodities.While doing so, I was in contact with the port teams located in Paradip, Gopalpur and Vizag Port.

Responsibilities: 1) Responsible for procurement of consumables and fixed assets which ensure the smooth operations of the company. I am responsible for procurement of a very wide variety of items including Acids and Chemicals, Lubricants, CCTV Cameras, Electrical cables, Hardware Items, Furniture, Weighbridge, Cement, Metallic Items, Electrical goods and equipment's, Internet Lease Lines on fiber and RF, Paints, Tiles, IT equipment's, Steel Coil packaging items, Laboratory equipment's including glassware and chemicals, Lifting items such as wire rope ceilings and D-shackles, and various other materials. 2) Responsible for all purchase related steps including vendor development, negotiation, contract preparation, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and proper quality checks along with tracking vendor payment. 3) Keeping track of vendor payments and forecasting estimated total payments to be made in each month. 4) Coordinate with several contractors for selection of materials in contractor scope and making sure that the scope of work stated in the contract is implemented.5) Closely collaborated with third party agencies on the concept design, and optimization of the SAP system for procurement and warehousing. I was the Project Owner for Implementation of SAP Hana and was responsible to oversee the whole project. Phase 1 of Blueprint Model was completed in my presence. 6) Total value of purchases for which I was responsible was above INR 200 Crores.

My job involved the sales of the extrusion blow molding machines and the production management of the placed order. I coordinated with the customer through different stages starting from sales inquiry to machine shipment and commissioning. I represented my firm in Chinaplas, 2017 and was also a team leader for projects in Adani Wilmar and Emami Agrotech, India.

Working in the field of Wire Technological Development, i was involved in two projects: Modifications in the Rewinding Line as well as the Technical Feasibility of Air Knives.For the Technical Feasibility of Air Knives project, due to inefficient wiping efficiency of wiper pads a new wiping technology was required. Basic study of the use of air knives was already present in the plant before my internship began, however suitability to our industry was not yet performed. I first conducted a literature survey and then compiled useful information from them to convert it for our plant. Based on my calculations for different diameters of wire, theoretical results for: the diameter of air knife's nozzle, angle of installation of the air knife, operating pressures for the air knife, and condition for steady laminar flow of the coating were determined. Coating efficiency of approximately 95% was also predicted. However, certain modifications were still needed to be made before its implementation in the plant. By the time the study was completed, my internship period was nearing an end and thus I could not get involved with the implementation stage.For the modifications of rewinding line project an understanding of mechanisms like WEB, traverse and dancer were required. The modifications were designed to improve safety concerns and efficiency.
