Chen designs products that combine technology and textiles, to create comfortable objects, that transform peoples’ behaviors and lifestyles.Si Chen puts great value on user experience and emotion. Her design approach combines traditional methods with 3D modeling and sketching through digital tools and hand tools, like Rhino and rapid prototyping. She has mastered a range of software and skills on her own, and learns new things quickly. Her currently project, the Whisper Pillow which allows the one records one’s secrets to be shared only with oneself, will be manufactured at the conclusion of an Indiegogo campaign, currently in progress.She received a Master of Design in Designed Object from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Central Academy of Fine Art of China.
