About Simon Bird

I have worked in the Financial Services industry for over 30 years in 3 different companies. My training as an equity market maker and later derivatives specialist has helped me in my quest to seek new challenges and opportunities. I moved from a proprietary trading position at Nat West Markets to Bear Stearns to build a global sales, operations and trading team and then to City Index as Chief Operations Officer. In Jan 2015 my business partner and I set up Objectivus Financial Consulting to provide market expertise in the fields of Compliance, Regulation and Risk Management.Since 1999 I have been contracted by the UK regulator as an expert in the areas of Market Abuse and Market Manipulation.
