About Sierra Smith
After graduating with B.S. in Public Health from San Diego State University in 2019, I have worked at the Public Good Projects (PGP) as a Research Intern, Junior Research Associate, and Research Associate. During my time at PGP, I have gained experience utilizing social media analytics, survey design, interviews, and focus groups to gain insights into different population's knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs towards COVID-19, vaccines, gender-based violence, preventing unintended pregnancies, mental health, substance use, abortion misinformation, and digital health services. I have also gained experience disseminating findings through formative research reports, peer-reviewed journal articles, case studies, and social media assets.Prior to working at PGP, I graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Public Health and gained experience as a caregiver, a medication technician, coaching kids in sports and school, working with animals, and working in customer service.In the future, I plan to continue working and learning through projects focused on health education, health equity, and empowering individuals and organizations.
