Thinking about and putting into action ideas about learning and teaching is how I am wired, and I champion pursuits that promote discovery, reflection, and purpose. Helping teachers find their own confidence with such has become my focus. A key part of my practice is visiting schools, programs, libraries, museums, and makerspaces to witness how, what, and why others teach and/or what else folks do to grow student involvement with their learning and the world around them.Presentation and Workshop Highlights:Barnes Foundation's Art of Math ChallengeMake - Don't Take - Examinations: Evaluating Students on Knowledge They ConstructGame Design Canvas x 3Creating a Maker Space in Middle and High SchoolsMastering and Masters: Snag Advice From Competition Shows to Improve Your Teaching VideosGlue, Paper, Scissors, YouTube: Brighter Essays and Class Discussions Through Non-Written Reading ResponsesAnimating With Scratch
