As an Air Force recruiter I introduced others to life in the military and provided them with information about career opportunities and enlistment procedures. My job was largely to attract potential Air Force recruits who are intelligent and well-qualified. I had to constantly keep in mind that I represented the Air Force when in public. I needed to be knowledgeable about the Air Force in order to answer questions.As an Air Force recruiter, I was the first contact a person had when he or she considered joining the Air Force. I would explain enlistment procedures, talk about career opportunities and determine if joining is the right choice for a particular person. I would work in a recruitment office and travel to different schools or locations for recruiting events. I would also speak at schools, teaching students about the military and discussing my experiences in the Air Force.
