Managed a fleet of 23 vehicles and 21 drivers over a six month period.Owned the scheduling process for all routes and presented a daily route plan.Assisted in the compliance of all vehicles and worked regularly with repair agents to ensure vehicle servicing and defects were maintained.Assisted the Transport Manager and General Manager with the changing of fleet from MAN Rigid Hiab vehicles to DAF Curtain Sider Moffett vehicles.Produced Safe Working Practices and Risk Assesmsnets to ensure all drivers were adequately trained with the new vehicles and signed off.Ran Morning shifts and briefed all the drivers of their routes using the Microlise System and CTMS.

The DHL Supply Chain graduate scheme is an 18 month programme, specialising in Operations and Supply Chain Management.The scheme consists of a series of development modules, including;- Leadership and Management skills- Career Development skills- Presentation skills- Project Management

For my second placement I was an FLM/Step up Shift Manager working on night shift, running a despatch department which i was accountable for the following:Achieving the daily throughput and accuracy of the operation.Development for all operational staff, ensuring they have the skills to best perform their role.Ensuring the shift manning requirements and flexing according to volume and operational performance.All functional tasks are performed using best practice, in line with procedures and conducted safely.Managing all people issues, in line with DHL's policies and procedures.
