As lead entertainment host, I am responsible for planning, scheduling and implementing all entertainment activities on board, including sports and games, arts and crafts activities and the childrens program. Additionally, managing the entertainment team with regular meetings, performance reviews and support is a big part of the job, ensuring the team is happy and everyone is living up the the high standards of Holland America LineMy role also involves a huge amount of presentation skills, from hosting trivia, game shows and themed events, to being out and about on deck mingling and socialising with our guests, helping them with any issues they may have or chatting about their day or experiences on board. Being social is a HUGE part of the job, one that I enjoy immensely.
