Leadership role in a dedicated business partner legal team for Centrica Business Solutions, acting as the day to day legal point of contact for CBS International (a multi-jurisdictional energy services business spread across Europe, South America and the Middle East). Member of the CBS International senior leadership team. Broad level of experience including corporate/secretarial, financing, M&A, joint ventures, general commercial contracting, agency and distribution agreements, channel partner agreements, procurement agreements, energy contracting (including Power Purchase Agreements, capital sales and energy services agreements, operation and maintenance agreements and electric vehicle (EV) strategic partnerships with OEMs), software and technology agreements (including licensing and SaaS), intellectual property, data protection and dispute resolution. Achievements include:• Delivery of the €70m acquisition by Centrica plc of Restore NV, a Belgian based demand-response aggregator. Despite a very competitive process the transaction was completed in less than 10 weeks and external lawyers were managed effectively to ensure that spend was 20% less than budgeted.• Building a suite of new templates and guidance notes across multiple territories in short time-lines to underpin business growth via the roll-out of new products and propositions in key markets.• Effective collaboration with the Compliance team to draft and implement a new Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy across CBS International tailoring the controls in each country to the level of territorial risk. The Policy was drafted, finalised and implemented (with training provided to the business) in less than 6 weeks.

Senior member of a strong, high performing business partner legal team delivering a broad range of commercial legal services for Centrica Business Solutions UK and Ireland. Achievements include:• Leading on the acquisition and sale of a large 4MW ground mount solar PV project for Toyota UK. Support included the negotiation of the development agreement, EPC and maintenance contract, power purchase agreement and onward sale agreement to a third-party investment fund and was one of the first transactions of its type for Centrica.• Leading on the divestment of a £20m building controls business via a management buy-out in short timelines. • Negotiating the customer and procurement contracts for the supply, installation, maintenance and optimisation of a large industrial battery for a local authority following a public procurement tender process. • Implementing a product investigation and replacement process and supporting with subsequent litigation following an HSE incident at a client site.
