Simon has over 35 years experience in the areas of insurance advice and litigation. He started his career with Morris Fletcher and Cross in Brisbane before taking up a partnership with Bowdens and then Gadens when those 2 firms merged. In August 2006 most of the Gadens insurance practice linked up with the extensive Mills Oakley practice in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.Simon has particular expertise in public liability, workers' compensation and work place related claims, property, professional indemnity and general insurance. He has acted for a wide range of Australian and global insurers.Simon has experience as a mediator having been involved in the Mediation weeks jointly organised by the Queensland Law Society and the Queensland Bar Association and in organising Mediation weeks for insurers in areas such as Mt Isa, Cairns and Mackay.Outside work Simon's main interests are his family (he is a very proud grandfather) and just about any sport. He has 20 years of experience as a junior football coach although he has recently scaled back his involvement.
