I have been advising, valuing and selling Pubs and Restaurants throughout the UK for over 40 years and am now Senior Director at leading business agents Christie & Co based at their head office in London. My work comes in all shapes and sizes from individual disposals for pub and restaurant operators to multi-site disposals as a portfolio opportunities. In recent years this has included groups of tenanted pub assets for Wadworth, Hall & Woodhouse and Wells & Co plus individual vacant sites for Shephard Neame, Greene King, Gray & Sons and other regional Pub operators. Acquisitions have also featured for the likes of Red Oak Pub Company and The Restaurant Group for their B&P pub chain. Active in both Restaurants and Franchising with the sales of 62 Pizza Hut Delivery stores in two packages for YUM! to new franchisees, sale of Chozen to Chopstix earlier this year and ongoing work with AmRest, Carls Jr, Paulaner, Wendy’s and others seeking new operators and sites for their brands.As part of the senior corporate team I regularly assist with valuations and strategy proposals for lenders or advisors, which includes work on the demise of Jamies Italian, Byron, Gaucho and Bramwell Pub Co amongst others. Simon is regularly quoted in the trade press and was last year awarded “EG’s 2021 Dealmaker of the year in Hotel & Leisure”.On a personal level Simon likes to support the hospitality industry (as we as the Tractor Boys) being a big fan of cask ales, English wine and good food.
