OnStream provides gas and electricity meter management services to the UK’s energy suppliers, including meter asset provision/maintenance, meter reading for domestic and non-domestic customers and installation of smart metering solutions (established as a subsidiary of National Grid in 2003, and sold to the Macquarie Group in 2011).Key responsibilities include:Successful delivery of multiple supplier requirements, aligned to expectations.Create, maintain and manage short, medium and long term delivery plans within desired timescales.Delivery of operational performance in line with budget assumptions.Concept, business case and proposal to secure budgetary funds.Manage OnStream stock and materials strategy to ensure availability for fulfilment of planned workloads, taking into account workload variety and postcode density. Creates and leads robust control mechanisms for stocks held by each Delivery Area and by the service providers engaged in the company’s asset refurbishment and asset disposal processes.

Managed the performance and safety of upto 200 meter-workers, team managers and back office functions to enable the delivery of gas, electricity and SMART metering requirements against OnStream’s contracts. Development and management of multiple service provider contracts to provide timely and defined commitment of resources to enable delivery of works (including continuous review cycle), in the context of business plan objectives and standards of service. Key responsibilities included:Developing, implementing and maintaining commercial frameworks. Monitoring the safety, quality and delivery of work types achieved against defined KPI levels.Building relationships to ensure smooth resolution of commercial disputes, specifically with regards to recovery of liquidated damages and associated costs.Delivery of volume targets aligned to customer requirements, including the use of rectification plans.Creating resource plans to enable delivery of service provider targets.Managing service providers’ commercial issues including approval of invoices for work completed, liquidated damage payments, data passback and mitigation of any cost claims.Sharing of operational and SHEs best practice.
