Simon is currently interim Chief Executive (part time) at Compass Wellbeing CIC, which is wholly owned by the East London NHS Foundation Trust. He also works part time as an associate at Good Governance Improvement (GGI). He is currently looking for future Non-Executive Director opportunities across the public sector.Simon worked as Transformation Director in the North East London NHS and led the Covid vaccination programme for the Integrated Care System delivering 3.6 million jabs to local people. • 35 years’ experience in the NHS, local and central government. Experienced at navigating the balance between system and place, and developed the system response to the NHS Long Term Plan for NE London.• Served on the London HIV Fast Track Cities Leadership Group (to eliminate HIV and the stigma attached to it) which won the International Excellence Award for HIV Services in October 2021. • Led transformation programmes across all of NE London including cancer services, maternity, end of life care, children and young people’s health and care and sustainability.• Whilst Managing Director of Tower Hamlets CCG (2016-18) established governance arrangements for joint commissioning, led the transformation of GP services focused on quality improvement methodology, and led the Tower Hamlets Together Vanguard. During his leadership the CCG achieved an Outstanding rating from NHS England twice, were nominated for 2017 Health Service Journal CCG of the Year, and achieved high rankings for patient and public involvement and staff satisfaction. • At NHS Greenwich, led successful transformation change and service redesign programmes including the development of Eltham Community Hospital, and led the development of the Greenwich NHS Estates Strategy supporting primary care development. • In 2011 managed the transfer of delegated responsibilities to CCGs across SE London, and led the NHS Leadership Academy’s procurement of the national CCG Development Framework, with over two-thirds of emerging CCGs nationally taking up development support from the Framework. Trustee and Treasurer of Metro (an equality and diversity charity in south east London) until 2023; recently started a similar role at Galop, the national LGBTQ+ anti-abuse charity. Also Trustee and Audit Chair of University Schools Trust, with schools in the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Greenwich.
