Acknowledged as complex due to non Games residential and business transport requirements, a dense highway network, non purpose built venues and the need to integrate Venue Transport Operational Plans with; 9 separate Road Events, Olympic Family Accommodation Hotels and Live Site locations. I took the lead role in working with Transport for London to integrate the Olympic Route Network with the Venue Plans and ensure that LOCOG’s clients’ needs were met in full - Key of which was the creation of Road Event alternative ORN routing on Cycle and Triathlon Road race days and the Games Family Alternative Routing around hotel accommodation for access.I was seconded to LOCOG in July 2011 to work with the ORN / Venue contractors to ensure the Venue build programme and Venue Transport Operation was integrated with LOCOG’s delivery milestones and to build the team of volunteers / paid workforce and contractors that would operate each venue at Games Time.
