North Ridge Pumps are an independent manufacturer and distributor of pumps. We are part of the DMS Group who have operated within the building services, district heating, process and renewable industries for over 20 years, with a proven track record for product support and customer service throughout the whole of the UK and internationally. Being centrally located in Nottingham, it allows us to service the entire UK.It was a natural progression to diversify into the pumping industry having regularly received enquiries for pumps, with associated flowmeters. North Ridge Pumps have been established since 1998 and have a wealth of experience in pumping applications handling fluids from fresh water, seawater and glycols to heavy oil, grease, food and chemicals. We work within a range of industries both in the UK and internationally. Our pump types range from standard centrifugal pumps, and multistage pumps, to immersed and process overhung solid handling pumps. We also supply a wide range of positive displacement pumps such as peristaltic, progressing cavity, screw and gear allowing us to provide more than one solution for your process and accommodate almost any fluid.We understand at times associated process equipment may be required alongside your pump, therefore we have become accustomed to supplying pumps complete with control panels, inverter drives, monitoring, couplings, hose, flow meters and valves.

A diverse and challenging role of supplying rotodynamic and positive displacement pumps to various domestic and international markets including; industry and manufacturing, marine, mining, food & drink, building services, pharmaceutical, waste water, oil & gas and power generation. Specializing in a large range of pump types including; end suction centrifugal pumps, vertical in-line centrifugal pumps, horizontal multistage pumps, vertical multistage pumps, split casing pumps, screw pumps, progressive cavity pumps, gear pumps, side channel pumps, air operated diaphragm pumps, flexible impeller pumps, magnetic drive chemical pumps, dosing pumps, piston/plunger pumps, barrel pumps and submersible pumps.Day to day duties include:• Action email enquiries• Answer incoming calls• Ensuring correct selection of equipment is made in line with customer requirements - equipment includes pumps and valves.• Procure materials on a competitive basis• Prepare detailed tenders, bids and quotations to customer specifications • Follow up quotations and provide customer support• Secure orders by means of careful evaluation of customer needs, prompt and correct response and offering pricing that maximizes profit to the company but also assures that we are competitive, within the constraints laid down by the directors of the company.• Identify 'key customers' in key market sectors, being End-user, contractor, distributors and OEM's.• Business development and account management• Proactive telesales• Liaise and improve relationships with key suppliers• Visiting exhibitions to source new products and study competitors’ products• Exhibiting• Keeping abreast of an evolving portfolio of products• Order processing• Order progressing• Product inspection, packing and shipping• Experience using various software including; Quickbooks, Exchequer, Quotewerks, Act, Salesi and Excel
