Simon spent 10 years of his early career as a professional yachtsman and marine engineer developing his knowledge in engineering on large and complex super yachts. He moved into project managing the construction of large yachts in New Zealand and Europe before returning to the UK to form PBW Marine Ltd (2006-2013) where he has been responsible for building over 24 vessels, Simon specialises in electric power and drive systems, complex electrical systems, battery and storage solutions and is passionate about developing cutting edge innovations in electric and hybrid propulsion technologies. He is respected across industry for his forward thinking in this field and in 2013 he founded MSP Technologies (MSP) to bring technical innovations in hybrid AC power generation and hybrid power and propulsion systems to market both marine and land-based.As CEO he is responsible for the growth and continued development of MSP technologies in a rapidly expanding market.
