Hi there! I'm Simon, a freelance sports journalist originally from Northern Ireland but now primarily travelling the world covering the MotoGP World Championship. Keen to go beyond the job of just regurgitating rider quotes into online clickbait, I like to think that I bring something a little different ot the job by tackling subjects that others won't and devoting time and research to big picture stories.Beyond just covering the most thrilling championship in motorsport, I take an active interest in ensuring that the sport lives up to ut's potential by writing about issues that I believe to be important including rider safety, concussion in sports, and the commercial aspects of the championship.Building up a broad skillset through my time as a freelance journalist and my background as a photographer, I'm able to turn my abilities to everything from long form writing, photograhy and video editing to event hosting, commentary and TV production.I'm always seeking out new and interesting opportunities, so please by all means reach out if you think there's something we could collaborate on!
