I didn’t make it as a professional cricketer or AFL footballer, but that goal was never very realistic. So I got cracking and am currently carving a path in Civil Engineering. I’m currently contributing as an integral team player on the West Gate Tunnel Project , focussing on coordinating and liaising with site, and managing cost constraints to deliver on time and on budget, all to the standard of a Tier 1 organisation.A cornerstone of why I’m doing what I’m doing, is to see a reward for effort & an end finished product. With my experience working in civil construction, for a great small business, in the land development space, I’ve tasted all different phases of the project lifecycle and saw some great feats of engineering along the way. Obstacles included adapting to differing project priorities and learning methods of stakeholder management to ensure the client’s end product is of the highest quality. But with my ability to learn on the fly, and with great mentoring, I found myself relishing the opportunity.My journey is continuing with John Holland to further my career development, and target toward my goal to become an excellent, resourceful and skillful engineering professional.
