I have 30 years experience leading award winning marketing and communications strategies for some of the leading thirds sector organisations and brands.I was listed in the 2017 PR Week, Power Book, as one of the top 100 most influential marketing and communications professionals. I am a strategic, collaborative and innovative leader. I am part of the strategic leadership group, working across a complex third sector stakeholder network where strong collaborative leadership skills are essential. In previous roles at NUS and ZSL I have successfully run full brand realignment programmes which resulted in being awarded Best Campaign of the Year for the ZSL London Zoo brand re-launch at the Visit Britain Awards in 2007.Whilst at the NFU I had the idea for a food standard label, the Little Red Tractor logo. I was responsible for the initial consumer research, negotiations with retailers and manufacturers, the launch event with the Prime Minister and the ultimate roll out and consumer campaign.I also led the NFU media team through the BSE, Foot and Mouth and Swine Flu crisis aimed at reassuring consumer confidence and bringing the plight of farmers to the fore. The team was awarded the International Press Office of the Year for our work on BSE.I pioneered NUS’ 7 Million Voices digital strategy to create a shared digital platform for all of our 600 student’s union members aimed at creating a campaigning database of 7 million students. I have acted as a media spokesperson throughout my career. I regularly give presentations at high profile events.I have a proven record of managing a diversity of income streams, plus developing implementing and monitoring strategic business plans and budgets.
